Motorcycle Touring, My Passion
More Ride Tales to Come...
I have been riding motorcycles since my college days back in Missouri. From my first college commuter, a 1972 Yamaha RD250A, to my first 'grown up bike' a 1985 Suzuki GS550E, my 'mid life crisis bike' a 97 Honda Manga, my first touring bike; 1999 BMW K1200LT. I have loved this pastime.
My current passion is touring on my Honda ST1300a.
I frequently travel throughout Texas on weekends and have made serveral longer trips to Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina.
My favorite riding spots are "riding the three sisters" in the Texas Hill Country West of San Antonio, the Cherahola Skyway running between Tennessee and North Carolina, the Blue Ridge Parkway and the 'Tail of the Dragon' comprised of 318 curves in 11 miles. Here are some photos from my recent travels....
Recently my step son's have taken up the passion and I look forward to spending quality time with them on the open road.
